Stacy Green is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Reporting to our CEO, and a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, she is responsible for leading our People & Organization function as we continue to reimagine our culture and operations to align with today’s rapidly changing marketplace. In particular, Green focuses on fostering an inclusive environment that highly values and engages our talent, stimulates our creativity and accelerates our business performance.
Green has over 25 years of experience guiding companies through transformation, playing key leadership roles in initiatives across culture, diversity & inclusion, business strategy, employee communications, organizational design, leadership development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, legal and operations. She has led global human resource functions in all aspects of media, including movie and television studios, broadcast and cable television and digital platforms.
Before joining Sony Pictures in 2018, Green was Chief People Officer at Group Nine Media, one of the world’s largest digital-first media companies. Prior to this role, she served for five years as EVP, Global HR & Facilities for A+E Networks, including A&E, History, Lifetime, VICELAND, A+E Studios and A+E International & Digital. From 2008-2013, Green was at NBCUniversal, where she served in HR leadership roles for NBCU Advertising Sales & Client Partnerships, NBC News and acted as a key member of the transition team during Comcast’s acquisition of NBCUniversal. Before that, Green worked in various capacities at Revlon from 1997-2007 transitioning from Senior Tax Counsel to HR leadership during her tenure.
Green has a deep passion for diversity & inclusion, including her Executive Sponsorship of “Sony Pictures Action”, our multi-pronged social justice and racial equity initiative founded in 2020. She is also currently a Partner Sponsor of Lime Connect and a Board Advisor for Creative Spirit, two organizations dedicated to developing career opportunities for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Personally, she volunteers as a Women in Entertainment Mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
While at A+E, Green was recognized with the 2016 Walter Kaitz Diversity Champion Award, an award given to organizations in media that act as catalysts for diversity. She also was on the Advisory Board for the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications’ (NAMIC), was a founding member of the Veteran’s Advisory Committee for the National Cable Televisions Association (NCTA) and was active in Women in Cable Television (WICT) and the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (now C2HR).
Green holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing and an LL.M. degree in Taxation from New York University; a law degree cum laude from the University of Miami; and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
