Janet Crown

Founder & CEO; Burn 60® Studios

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Janet is the seventh child of Renee and Lester Crown. After graduating from Denison University in 1985 with a degree (B.A.) in history, she went on to receive her graduate degree (M.S.) from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, IL.

In 1993, Ms. Crown relocated to LosAngeles, CA, and joined CAA (Creative Artists Agency), to expand the commercial and sponsorship division. In 1995, she became a Vice President of Client Services at Focus Media in Santa Monica. In 2005, Ms. Crown opened one the first boutique HIIT interval training studios, Burn 60, in Brentwood. Burn 60 continues to expand in Southern California.

Ms. Crown is a board member ofLACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), The Painted Turtle, OperationProgress LA, Lollipop Theater Network, Run to Remember, The Watts Bears, and Co-Chair of WE Day LA 2018. Ms. Crown is also involved in other leading non-profit organizations including CHLA (Children Hospital LosAngeles), Every Child Foundation, All Eagles Oscar (AEO), Jewish Graduate Student Initiative (JGSI), and the Crown Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Brandeis University. She is a trustee at her alma mater, DenisonUniversity, and founded the 1st US Triathlon Team for the Maccabiah Games in Israel.

Ms. Crown resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Steve Robinson, and five children. She recently completed her first in a series of children’s books.
