Doug Brown grew up in the Bronx, NY.

Through graduate school, he wound up in Southern California, where he founded and built one of the larger real estate investment companies in California called Regent Properties, which he retired from at a young age to spend more time with his wife, Abby and children, Gavin, 32, Emma, 28, Leo, 26 and Tobias, 21.

He now focuses on running his family office and family foundation with Abby. He serves (and served) and is active, on the board of multiple business, civic and charitable organizations.

He is a cum laude graduate of the Wharton School of Business and Finance of the University of Pennsylvania, and received his JD degree from UCLA, where he graduated Order of the Coif.

He and Abby divide their time between Colorado and Santa Barbara.
